Summit's service technicians are fully trained and experienced. Our service trucks are stocked with all of the necessary tools and equipment to service almost every type of lawn sprinkler system.

Spring Activation

During April and May, we recommend our spring activation service to get your sprinkler system up and running for the season. Winter ground heaving, heavy snowfall and snow removal can alltake a toll on adjustments and function of your sprinkler heads. Our Spring Activation Service inspects for all the issues winter leaves behind. As well, from year to year your landscape changes, shrubs and trees grow and sometimes the landscape is redesigned and changes. At the time of spring activation, we review the design of your current irrigation system in order to recommend changes or enhancements that will ensure your irrigation system meet the needs of all of your lawn and plants in the most efficient manner. From a simple head change, to the addition of entire zones, our technicians will work with you to optimize turf and plant coverage. We will check all the components to ensure your system is fully functional for the watering season.
This service includes:

• Turn water on to the sprinkler system and inspect sprinkler plumbing and vacuum breaker.
• Where applicable, install pump, suction line, check valve, and filter.
• Activate the controller, set watering schedule and test all valves in the system. Install battery. (Battery sold separately)
• Inspect and adjust the system for proper coverage.
• Check for system leaks.
• Check function of all heads and nozzles.

Summer Efficiency Program

They say that average is just the middle of two extremes. Over the past few summers, it seems as if we have experienced every extreme of summertime weather. These extremes have challenged Summit to find a better way to help our customers keep their irrigation systems running as efficiently as possible through the summer months.

The solution is Summit's Summer Efficiency Program which offers up to 3 proactive time-sensitive summer visits to evaluate and adjust the operation of your irrigation system. This program will greatly reduce your potential for water waste by efficiently adjusting your watering schedule for current summer weather conditions when your lawn and landscape need it most!

In turn, your watering dollars are invested as efficiently as possible while producing maximum dividends in the health of your lawn and landscape. As an added benefit, should Summit find that a repair to your irrigation system is needed at the same time as your summer visit(s), we will waive our regular service call fee and invoice only for the parts and associated repair labor. This could save you a minimum of $67.00.

Winterization Program

In the Midwest, we experience freezing temperatures as early as October. Consequently, your irrigation system must be properly winterized to safeguard against freeze damage.
Our Winterization service includes:

• Turn water off to the sprinkler system and drain vacuum breaker and interior pipes
• Where applicable, remove and/or drain pump, suction line, check valve and filter
• Deactivate controller and valves. Remove battery from solid-state controller.
• Clear all lines of water with compressed air, and, if applicable, open all manual drains and faucets

Because the timing of the arrival of freezing weather varies from season to season, we recommend winterization between late September and first of November each year.
