Landscape maintenance managers supervise the workers who install and maintain the landscape. This may involve scheduling work crews, planning daily work activities, and monitoring the work being done. Landscape maintenance managers may also be responsible for training employees, especially on safety procedures when large equipment or hazardous materials are involved.



  • Represent Summit Landscape Management Inc in a professional manner in all work activities
  • Coordinate with production and project managers to complete tasks sufficiently
  • Develop a clear understanding of your team- including their strengths and weaknesses, both professionally and personally.
  • Ensure a renewal rate greater than 90% through “keeping the properties looking great and letting the customers know we care”
  • Assure profit of landscape maintenance division through management of hours and costs, efficient scheduling, and good stewardship of trucks and equipment
  • Maintain a constant recruiting effort to develop the best possible team
  • Be able to effectively price out and propose landscape jobs to new and existing customers


  • Be available to deal with issues as they appear on various jobsites, address these issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Oversee and evaluate Account Managers to make sure that existing accounts are getting the best possible customer service
  • Oversee customer contract for maintenance to ensure that customers are getting the services that were outlined in the contract
  • Contract management and bidding responsibilities


  • Driving out to jobsites to perform routine checks on quality-ensure that quality of planting and landscape work is top notch
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance account projects we have under contract
  • Propose adjustments to the landscape as needed, including swapping out plants, fixing irrigation, etc. if needed
  • Evaluate maintenance employees (lawn maintenance, fertilization, pruning, weeding) and ensure that they are performing according to Summit Landscape Management’s core value standards
  • Recommend training or other improvement methods for maintenance employees not meeting Summit expectations


  • Must have experience in the Landscape Industry (Minimum of 4 years)
  • Have knowledge in the technical aspects of landscape maintenance to solve any issues or problems that may arise
  • Possess knowledge in planting, classifications of a variety of different plants, including aftercare techniques for the landscape and where to source plants from
  • Have a basic understanding in spray and drip irrigation
  • Able to read landscape design plans and blue prints
  • Possess superior customer service, communication, written and verbal grammar skills.
  • Managerial experience is preferred
  • Must have general knowledge about computers and ability to learn systems unique to our organization.
  • Chauffer’s License
  • Pesticide Applicators License (3a,3b,6)
  • Possess Fertilization Knowledge
  • Understand Pruning Techniques


  • Must have a driver license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds when needed
  • Required to traverse large contracted properties, perform a visual assessment for potential hazards and identify areas that need improvement
