What We Collect
We collect and store personally identifiable information that you affirmatively choose to provide to us.  The personally identifiable information we collect depends on your activities on the Site.  For instance, if you are required to register in order to use a feature of this Site or to complete an online application form (e.g., to obtain e-mail updates or online publications), we will collect personally identifiable information about you such as your name, email address, country of residence, and other information which you voluntarily submit.  You may correct or change your registration profile by emailing us.

We may also automatically collect website use information when you visit our Site.  This information may include information about your Internet service provider, your operating system, browser type, domain name, Internet protocol (IP) address, your access times, the Web pages you request, and the date and time of those requests.  Our collection of website use information may involve the use of cookies and Web beacons.  Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website.  We use them to improve our Site and your experience.  Web beacons are electronic images that we may use on our Site or in our emails to deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage.

We may use information about you for purposes described in this policy or disclosed to you on our Site.  For example, we may use information about you to communicate with you about your account, your requests for information, our products and services, or other promotional purposes.

We will not voluntarily disclose or sell any information we gather about you to third parties for solicitation or other reasons unless you consent, and except as otherwise provided below. If we obtain any personal information about you, we may share it within Summit’s for purposes of data processing, storage, or otherwise in connection with the maintenance or administration of our Site. We also may share your personal information with authorized third-party agents or contractors in order to provide a requested service or transaction. We only provide third-party agents with the minimum amount of personal information necessary to complete the requested service or transaction.

We may respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process by disclosing your personal information and other related information, if necessary. We may collect and share personal information in order to investigate or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.  Due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of a user’s private communications and other personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise disclosed in this policy. You authorize us to disclose any information about you to law enforcement or government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate.  Therefore, although we believe we use industry standard practices to protect our users’ privacy, we do not promise that their personally identifiable information or private communications can remain private.
